Miranda Bishop

Miranda comes from a highly varied career history working in the UK and internationally from LA, Kansas, Portugal and Cambodia in sales and marketing. She ran her own successful business providing Social Media Training and Consultancy for six years before joining the flagship Welsh Government service ‘Business Wales’ as a Growth Adviser. Here she supported hundreds of business owners with advice, information and strategy on growing their businesses, as well as resilient practices through the Covid-19 pandemic. At Mazuma she is actively promoting partnerships with like-minded, digital innovators and companies who are growing rapidly.

Miranda has contributed to the PRCA Cymru committee for several years as well as completing a stint as a non-executive director for a CIC promoting equality in education for young people.

She’s a keen public speaker and has been a contributor to BBC Wales on TV and radio. Most recently, she appeared on the documentary ‘Finding Love Online’ where she talked about online dating with ‘Hayley the Tea Lady’. She also volunteered on popular speaking event Ignite Cardiff and helped to produce the largest Ignite event in the world in the Wales Millennium Centre. She was also extremely proud to be the first female Keynote Speaker at the Tessitura European Software Conference.

In 2017 she was featured in the Wales Online 35 under 35 list and in 2016 she was featured as 16 Women to Watch in Business.

Outside of work she’s a keen gardener and loves to cultivate her house plants and veg patch.

She’s also recently acquired a Corgi puppy by the name of ‘Pickles’ to be her desk buddy when working from home. He’s terrible at paperwork but great for social media engagement.
