Lucy joined Mazuma in January 2019 – hitting the ground running at one of our busiest times! This didn’t faze her, as she has over 20 years’ experience of fast-paced business environments, so she quickly settled in.
She is passionate about providing excellent customer service and has honed her skills working in both the private and public sector - which makes her the perfect fit for the role.
When you sign up to Mazuma, Lucy oversees your account set up ensuring everything runs as smoothly as possible. She knows that getting our clients efficiently settled into our service is a top priority and makes for good working relationships.
Lucy’s experience, from business-to-business to financial services means she’s adept at interacting with our clients. She knows that the industry can move quickly, so Lucy is keen to learn and develop herself.
Her business to business experience is invaluable when dealing with our suppliers. Being the Office Manager, Lucy understands that keeping the operations running smoothly behind the scenes is crucial to providing Mazuma’s outstanding customer service. The team have commented that she has a no-nonsense approach, but Lucy just thinks she’s being assertive!
Lucy is known for having a “thing” for keeping active, mainly running – anything from a sprint round the block to ultra-marathons. When she’s not training herself, she coaches junior athletes and is a qualified UKAthletics coach. Lucy coaches at her local athletics club, where she’s also club secretary and is a support coach for the regional endurance squad. Lucy is also president of South Wales Regional Athletics Council.
Day to day Josie’s role includes processing, bookkeeping and analysing our client’s paperwork as well as responding to client enquiries.
Josie joined the Mazuma team at the start of 2019. Since joining the team she has gained a huge amount of knowledge and is continuously developing and learning new skills. She enjoys the huge range of diversity among our clients, and how no two days are the same.
Josie is really passionate about the environment and protecting our planet, so was really thrilled to discover that Mazuma share this ethos and all the positive steps being taken to reduce our environmental impact.
Hailing from the North East of England, Eric started out by pursuing a degree in Video Games Development and going on to work for an industry leading software development company, before eventually moving to South Wales and beginning the journey to retrain in accounting with Mazuma.
His head for numbers, keen eye for detail and passion for tech have allowed him to quickly go from strength to strength in his accounting studies and to grow within his role in Mazuma.
Eric still fulfils one of his many passions of video game/software development as a hobby, but when he isn't in front of a screen you'll likely find him on the climbing wall, hiking in the Welsh countryside or helping run a local Scouts group as an Assistant Section Leader.
Lucy’s job is to assist the office with any administration duties that they may require. This frees up our team to give the best possible service to our clients, ensuring that they are not held up with the more simple duties of scanning and posting out mail.
Lucy is usually the person you will speak to when you first call up as she answers our telephone enquiries. Lucy is a friendly and motivated member of our team who will help you wherever she can or pass you onto the department which is most relevant, saving you the time of waiting on hold.
She is a very pro-active person and gets things done immediately so that our clients receive a very efficient service.
It’s fair to say that Lucy is somewhat obsessed with dogs and would happily spend most of her time with them. That doesn’t mean to say she’s not good at communicating with people as she has an OCN in Communication Skills and is great at the job she does for Mazuma.
Lucy also loves to travel and explore new places and is always open to learning something new.
